Ichinose Houtarou is the main protagonist of Kamen Rider Gotchard.
Houtarou is a second-year high school student attending Furasu High School. Although he has not figured out his future yet, Houtarou is actively seeking his Gotcha, or his passion.
Houtarou lives with his mother Ichinose Tamami, and helps her run their family restaurant. He is creative with the restaurant's dishes.
Chosen by the Hopper1 and SteamLiner Chemies to save the world from the sinister Malgam, Houtarou is entrusted with the Gotchardriver by Kudou Fuuga, which Houtarou uses to transform into Kamen Rider Gotchard to fend off the Malgam.
