- According to the TV Asahi website, Valvarad is not a Rider but rather, a warrior whose suit and armor are designed by Spanner himself to fight the Malgam.
- Being a warrior-like psuedo-Rider, this makes Valvarad similar to Mashin Chaser from Drive, as well as Night Rogue and Blood Stark from Build.
- Valvarad shares a wrench aesthetic with Kamen Rider Kikai from Zi-O.
- Spanner's ring was originally planned to become red, but Yasunari proposed the idea of it becoming purple instead.
