Plot
In a world of negative and wicked thoughts, evil powers known as Horrors are constantly created. These Horrors are able to possess human beings who harbor such feelings, turning them into monstrous creatures.
To protect humanity, Makai Knights work tirelessly to cut them down. One such Knight is Saejima Kouga, who holds the title of the strongest Knight, Golden Knight Garo.

- The loyal butler of the three priests. Though his name means "echo" in Japanese, he ironically is mute. When he does open his mouth, it emits a destructive echo effect.

Trivia
- In the promos, the show was called "Hyper midnight action".
- Zaruba is voiced by Kageyama Hironobu, the leader of JAM Project who do the opening and ending themes for this show.
- In 2016, as part of the 10th anniversary, this series was remastered in HD. It started reairing July 9, 2016 . In December, the HD remaster will also be available to purchase on Blu-ray.
- Ward Sexton, who reads the opening narration for Garo, is famous for reading the title card for the Resident Evil series of video games.
- From episode 3, we can figure out that Kaoru is 22 years old.
