- Houjou devotes himself into investigating the Kazaya Nobuyuki murder case; he questions Mana in whether she knows anything about her father's associates. Houjou uses his intuition to judge supernatural power was likely used to kill Mana's father. He further explains supernatural powers can be dangerous; under some circumstances, the killer never intended to kill Kazaya, but unexpectedly ended up killing him probably due to the power consumed the killer's mind without realizing it.
- Sawaki asks the Mysterious Young Man to help reviving Ryou, however the Young Man refuses because he hates Ryou's Gills power even though he did save his life before. Sawaki approaches Sagara for the job; at the morgue, Sagara recognizes Ryou and refuses to help because Ryou got him and Masumi nearly killed. He mentions to Sawaki that he and other Akatsuki-gou members are destined to become Agito. Ironically, Sawaki tells him Gills is same as Agito. Sagara tries his attempt to revive Ryou, but has no success. Sawaki suddenly appears in front of Mana, he awakens her powers.
- At the Kazekawa Fireworks show, Mana's seniors bully her for her poor performance in practicing tennis together. While being bullied, someone causes a car part to attack the seniors. Though they survive and escape, Mana is blamed for the attack.

- While Houjou suspects Kazaya's killer used supernatural powers to kill Kazaya, Hikawa argues that an Unknown was the killer because he has been fighting as G3-X all these times. He can barely spare his time to get himself involved in solving the case ever since Kouno shared information to him.
- When Shouichi offers Houjou a hand-rolled sushi, Houjou has a flashback of himself being attacked by Aki on episode 20 where she used her power to cause him being rolled up by metals.
- In the opening credits, the family name of Mana's senior is Mizuhara, but it isn't said throughout the episode. However, when she is attacked by tennis balls and a car part, one of the other girls calls her Yuka, which is the same name as the actress who plays her.
