- Gills attacks the Mysterious Young Man out of fear, but the young man simply disappears and he leaves his strange symbol on the ground.
- Mana and Shouichi go back to their home from grocery shopping and they encounter a woman named Miura Tomoko. Tomoko claims she met Shouichi before and she probably knows about his past. She calls Shouichi to meet her next day at Higashi Park and he agrees. That night, Tomoko also calls someone else and reports to this person about encountering Shouichi. She is told to proceed with caution if she tries to learn about Shouichi.
- Shouichi goes to buy some gardening wires and some stuff, but he doesn't meet Tomoko. He returns home and says he waited Tomoko for almost an hour before he went to shop the equipment he needs. Actually, Tomoko is found dead by wire strangulation in the park. Hikawa and Kouno trace their investigation to Shouichi when they find Tomoko has made an appointment to meet him. Shouichi senses the Mollipes Octipes Unknown appearing and he rushes to the location, but he is arrested for resisting.

- Tomoko owns a poster of 37° 2 le matin in her apartment, a 1986 French movie directed by Jean-Jacques Beineix. The English title of the movie is translated as Betty Blue.
- On G Trailer, both Omuro and Houjou briefly talk about Ozawa's profile. Ozawa was born in 1977 in New York. She has an I.Q. of over 180. She entered the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at age 12, and was the top graduate in her doctoral course at age 15. She graduated from Jouhoku University in Japan and joined the police force to design the G3 System.
