Important things that happened
- A diver comes out of the water and transforms into Phantom Hydra before attacking a man named Oikawa Hiroshi.
- Beast and Wizard drive Hydra away. They meet at the doughnut cart and Kousuke explains how he got his powers.
- Kousuke was exploring some ruins and stumbled into a secret area. He discovers the Beast Belt sealed away and guarded by Ghuls. He activates it and hears Khimaira's voice. Khimaira agrees to save Kousuke, thus turning him into the mage, Beast. However, Khimaira must be constantly fed magical energy or he will devour Kousuke's life energy instead.
- They split up to search for Hydra. A strange man sees Koyomi and follows her. Koyomi recognizes him as a Phantom. He gives her a magical stone before leaving.
- Misa finds Kousuke and tells him that if Wizard is allowed to go unchecked, no more Phantoms will be born and he will eventually die from Khimaira's starvation.
- Hydra attacks Oikawa again, knocking him out. Wizard intervenes, but is stopped by Beast right before the finisher. Beast gets inbetween everyone and the show ends with him fighting off Wizard and Hydra.

- Beast's Plamonster familiar. In mythology a griffin is " body and tail and back legs of a lion, and the head and wings of an eagle, and an eagle's feet as its front feet." [1]
- It seems like Beast's deal is that he deals with monsters that are combinations of various animals.

- Mayonnaise label:
- When it falls on Shunpei: "Mayonnaise everywhere / Doko demo mayonnaise".
- When trying to put mayonnaise on Haruto's donut: "Put it on! / Kakechae!"
- When the new mayonnaise doughnuts are released, in the background a crowd forms around the doughnut cart.
- When Misa tells Kousuke that there'll be no Phantoms to devour if Wizard stops them from being born, she says "You will eat today, but you will have no tomorrow." At the "tomorrow" part we see his underwear flapping in the wind. It's a reference to OOO, since his main thing is he always had "underwear for tomorrow".
- It's fitting that Oikawa is always by a body of water to be attacked by Hydra. Kawa in Japanese means "river".
