Important things that happened

After watching the Gokaigers defeat another wave of Sugoumin with Go-On Gokai-Ou and GouJyuJin, Waruzu Giru throws his usual temper tantrum over the loss until Insaan tells him of the unexpected visit from two members of the Imperial Guard, Dogoumin. Meeting with the Dogoumins, Waruzu Giru learns that they have brought with them the Great Waruzu, the Space Empire Zangyack's greatest war machine, for him to get the invasion back on track.
Damarasu protests when Waruzu Giru insists that he himself will personally pilot the Great Waruzu and the prince reveals to him that he had overheard Damarasu's conversation with his father, the Emperor, who appointed him as second in command for the Earth Invasion Force to ensure its success due to the lack of confidence in his son's ineptitude as a leader. Having decided to make use of this opportunity to prove himself to his father and everyone else that he can conquer Earth on his own, Waruzu sends Barizorg in advance to track down the space pirates.
On GokaiGalleon, after the Gokaigers are caught off guard by Machalcon's question of what their own Grand Power is, the Gokaigers frets over the Space Empire Zangyack constantly getting in their way. Gai points out that they are protecting Earth so fighting the Zangyack and any other villains' attacks are expected. This causes Captain Marvelous to remember something Aka Red told him as he shrugs off Gai's suggestion of a direct confrontation. Later, Joe explains to Gai that fighting the Zangyack Empire directly sounds more like a suicide mission than their usual indirect confrontations. Though presented with this new information, Gai still intends to fight the Zangyack head on.
Suddenly, the ship gets hit by a group of Goumin led by Barizorg as the Gokaigers come down to face them. Joe decides to face Barizorg by himself and the rest of the crew agrees to cover for him. While Sugoumin and Goumin are easily wiped out by the pirates, the Dogoumin arrive and prove themselves as tougher opponents and the team makes use of some of the extra warrior Ranger Keys to drive them off.
Barizorg and GokaiBlue's match reaches a stalemate when Waruzu Giru arrives to give the Gokaigers a final chance to kneel before him. When they refuse, Waruzu Giru has Insaan deploy the Great Waruzu to Earth so he can pilot it. Gokai-Ou and GouJyuJin are formed to face the Great Waruzu, which knocks Machalcon back into Machine World before overpowering the Gokaigers' GouJyu Gokai-Ou formation.
Sparked by his memories of AkaRed's death, Captain Marvelous refuses to let his crew die as he forcibly ejects them to safety. The other Gokaigers are forced to witness GouJyu Gokai-Ou being defeated with their captain going down with the GokaiGalleon.
