Important things that happened[edit]

  • Choujin Sentai Jetman tribute episode.
  • In Heaven's Golden Gate bar, a man in white is having a duel in playing cards with God, he also drink a liquor but didn't like it so he wants to taste a sweeter drink.
  • Shortly after defeating an army of Sugoumin, the Gokai Galleon crew go out to have a meal when they are confronted by the legendary bounty hunter Kiaidou, who once defeated Captain Marvelous in the past. Due to this previous encounter, his presence immediately brings fear into Captain Marvelous. The Gokaigers' use of the Bioman and Maskman's powers prove ineffective against Kiaidou, who allows them to retreat, as he is disgusted with fighting weaker opponents.
  • Back aboard the GokaiGalleon, as the Gokaigers tend to their wounds, Navi reveals in a treasure navigation that the villainous foe can be defeated with a bird of fire. When Gai immediately identifies the clue as a reference to the Jetman, Captain Marvelous has the crew split up and search for that team's former members.
  • Meanwhile, aboard the Gigant Horse, Waruzu Giru reprimands Kiaidou for allowing the Gokaigers to escape, but the bounty hunter is defiant as he explains that he intends his increase their bounty while have them get stronger to slake his two desires for combat and wealth.
  • As Joe, Luka and Doc proceed on their search, a man on a motorcycle (a man in white before) hits on Luka and steals Joe's Mobirate before speeding away. The same man appears before Captain Marvelous's group, though only he and Ahim can see him while Gai thinks their captain is hitting thin air. Questioning the captain's abilities as a red warrior, the man proceeds to beat Captain Marvelous down and then steals his Mobirate. Telling the pirates not to look for the Jetman, the man introduces himself as Yuuki Gai.
  • After Gai informs his shipmates that Yuuki Gai is the missing Black Condor, Captain Marvelous later encounters Yuuki Gai again, who tells him that his lack of courage and stubborn pride will keep himself from acquiring the Jetman's Grand Power. Following him to a cemetery, Captain Marvelous discovers Yuuki Gai's tombstone; the Gokaigers are stunned and Gai realizes that Yuuki Gai, who only his shipmates were able to see, is actually a ghost who does not want the other Jetman involved with Kiaidou.
  • Confronting Kiaidou on his own, Yuuki Gai changes into Black Condor and overpowers the Goumin platoon before squaring off against the bounty hunter. Seeing that Black Condor is intent on fighting after death, Captain Marvelous regains his courage as he and his crew take over.
  • After Captain Marvelous and Joe regain their Mobirates, GokaiSilver finds himself occupied with the remaining Goumin while the main five Gokaigers change into the Jetman to finish off the bounty hunter with a Jet Phoenix-style attack.
  • Later, with Gai still unable to see him, Yuuki Gai gives the Gokaigers his blessings before departing back to Heaven's Golden Gate bar to resume playing cards with God.

  • Ikari Gai cannot see the ghost of Yuuki Gai the way Captain Marvelous and the others can. One theory is because Ikari is an Earthling.

Sentai References[edit]

  • The bench at which Yuuki Gai sat down at in the final scene was exactly the same bench at which he died while smoking his last cigaratte in the final episode of Jetman. The view of the sky is also the last thing he saw on that episode.
  • The Golden Gate bar in this episode is named after the same bar that was featured in Choujin Sentai Jetman.
  • Gai Ikari sings the Jetman theme while he, Captain Marvelous and Ahim are out looking for the Jetman.
  • A bottle of Macallan whiskey, which was Gai Yuki's signature drink, sits on his tombstone. Other mementos on his tombstone are references to his teammates: the "Ako-chan" ramen cup (Ako Hayasaka/Blue Swallow), the two flower bouquets (red for Ryu Tendo/Red Hawk and white for Kaori Rokumeikan/White Swan) and the basket of vegetables (Raita Ooishi/Yellow Owl). "Ako-chan" was the name given to the ramen created by an admirer of Blue Swallow, Ako.
  • Following the Gokaiger's Gokai Change into Jetman, Gai says "Jet! Jetman!", a reference to Choujin Sentai Jetman's opening theme.
  • The poker hand that Yuuki Gai and God play at the beginning of the episode is a reference to the second episode of Jetman where Yuuki Gai plays against the girl. The result of the hands is identical, but not the actual cards themselves. Yuuki Gai probably cheated God like he did with the girl in episode 2 of Jetman, but unlike with the girl, he actually accepted the payment that God gave him, which was being able to go back to Earth.
