Tsugomori and Ariake continue the joke about not remembering Kyuuemon's name again. This time, Tsugomori says his name is Kyuutarou, which basically appends Kyuuemon's name with the most common, blandest Japanese name, Tarou.
According to Tsugomori, there were only five personal guard ninjas. He refers to them as oniwaban which literally translates to "court guards", but actually referred to the secret spies/ninjas of the Tokugawa.
In her profile, Suzumebachi's favorite spot is on the balcony. When Yakumo appears, he quotes some lines that are the Japanese equivalent to the balcony scene from Romeo & Juliet.[1]
Continuity - We see a return of Kasumi's Karakuri Translator for Otomo Nin. The audience only hears UFOmaru say "UFO wasshoi" though.

This episode was written by writer Mouri Nobuhiro who also wrote Shinobi no 18 which was about Yakumo falling in love with his lawnmower.
During the ending theme, there's a guess the number of colored fireworks there are. The colors match the colors on the remote for TV's in Japan.
