Important things that happened
- Horoscopes Meeting. Virgo reveals himself to be Emoto (Apparently Hayami was the only one who didn't know. Then Gamou Mitsuaki says that he will personally intervene unless they find out who is backing up the Riders (probably referring to who is providing the Riders with equipment and support A.K.A. Tachibana. Not the Rider Club since they make no attempts to hide their identities.)
- Virgo personally threatens all of the Rider Club members, forcing them to quit. Eventually, only Gentarou, Ryuusei, and Kengo are left.
- Tachibana appears in person before Gentarou and crew. He puts Gentarou through special training.
- Earlier Kengo sent Nuggeropa to track Virgo, but it gets crushed in Virgo's right hand. Kengo discovers that Tachibana has Nuggeropa's remnants on him, and is actually Virgo. Nuggeropa has the pink, round eyes.
- Libra displays the ability to find the location of any Horoscopes Switch. He bothers Leo at first, but is scared off. Then he apparently goes to find Virgo.
- Before Virgo can explain anything, he detects Libra. Then Meteor attacks Virgo. Libra appears, which is when Virgo sends Ryuusei into the Dark Nebula.

Trivia
- Shun and his mother refer to each other as "Mama" and "Shun-chan".
- Shun's mother is voiced by Tanaka Rie who does the voice of the Virgo Zodiarts.
- Perhaps it's the shipping that the fans have been doing, but Ryuusei seems especially upset when he finds out that Tomoko had been sent into the Dark Nebula.
- Tachibana tells Gentarou that he doesn't need friendship, he needs heartlessness. In Japanese these two words share a kanji:
- Friendship Yuujou 友情
- Heartlessness Hijou 非情
- Tachibana also tells Gentarou to grab on to power. The voice actor also narrates the opening, which includes the line: "Use your hands to grab on to space!"
- The special training involves a vase. Sort of similar to the DekaRanger princess training episode, which was all about vases.
Continuity
- Gentarou mentions Nadeshiko and uses the Super Rocket Switch. This means that Mega Max movie is definitely in the same continuity as the TV series.
