The vice president of the student council during the second half of Kamen Rider Fourze.

History

Sugiura Yuuta is the Student Council Vice President at Ama High and one of the students who gains a spot in the space scholarship program. He first appears in Episode 37 where he participates in the entrance tests to the space scholarship program. After the third test, Libra Zodiarts sees his 'inner constellation' and realizes he is Taurus and somewhere between episodes 38 and 39 hands him a Zodiarts Switch. Soon after getting a Switch, Mibu Sayaka, the student council president was injured from falling down the stairs by a group of delinquents. Even though Sugiura was against limiting the freedom for the students like Sayaka wanted to, he was in love with her. So he confronted the delinquents and use his Switch to become Taurus. He made them into his personal slaves.

Shortly after that, Sugiura began to limit the amount of expression of the student body with a new set of rules. If anyone doesn't follow the new rules, he sent the his personal slaves along with Oki Shouko to capture them and forced them. After hearing about this, JK, Gentarou, and Ryuusei try to appeal the new rules which Sugiura challenged them to a contest of their own choosing. After beating both JK and Gentarou, he managed to control the both of them through the contract they signed. After Sugiura converted one of the student council members to a slave for being tired of the new regime, Meteor challenges Sugiura. Even though Taurus had the upper hand, Virgo suggests using Meteor instead of destroying him which Meteor challenges Taurus to his specialty which is golf.

Before confronting Meteor in the golf challenge, Sugiura decides to punish Oki Shouko for failing to punish Tomoko for her makeup and clothes. Gentarou manages to rescue Shouko from becoming a slave even though he's still unable to fight Taurus. In the golf challenge, Meteor beats him but goes against his word and makes Meteor a slave. He decides to convert everyone to a slave as his ideal school life but when Sayaka acts like the delinquents, he couldn't punish her because he loved her. Sugiura breaks his club into two which everyone regained their souls. Virgo appears and demands that Sugiura act like a proper Horoscope and defeat Fourze and Meteor. He decides to fight Virgo instead but ends up going to the Dark Nebula instead.

Personality

Yuuta is focused on his goals and very responsible. He also does very well when put in a leadership position as shown when he partners with Yuuki for the third test. He is shown to be over enthusastic and prone to taking things too far, as seen when he gains the Zodiarts Switch. Sugiura's sense of justice becomes very corrupted where he decides to remove all the student's souls instead of making them follow the rules. He loves Mibu Sayaka even though they had different ideals and couldn't even punish her when she was breaking the rules.

Taurus's main ability is make people to follow through with a contract that they signed. He uses this ability on JK and Gentarou which for the latter was unable to attack Taurus directly. He also has the ability to make people as his personal slaves by removing their souls. In combat, Taurus uses his massive body to ram his opponents and also uses his club to strike at enemies.

Trivia

• Sugiura Yuuta. If you remove gi, u, and yu, that leaves su-ra-u-ta, which is Taurus backwards. Plus gi+yu+u can form gyuu, which is the Japanese word for "cattle".

• Apparently Sugiura's specialty is golf, we see him practicing in the student council room. He's not bad at break dancing or jump rope either.

• Taurus' weapon is shaped like a golf club.
