"Originally a mirror used to drive off youkai, it gradually built up youkai energy until it became a youkai itself. Clouds constantly flow out of it and surround it, giving it the power of flight. This youkai can transfer itself between mirrors, allowing it to answer people who ask questions to the mirror or show them distant scenery."[1]

Has a Marionette Attack which can control giant machinery like the Otomo Nin and himself.

Enen Chouda no Jutsu (Stretching Technique 蜿蜿長蛇の術) - Akaninger uses the Paon Otomo Nin Shuriken to extend his arm and flatten the Youkai.
Kyouka Suigetsu (Water Flower Moon Mirror 鏡花水月) - Aoninger adapts the Mizu no Jutsu to create a mirror out of water.
Issei Nin Retsu Zan (Simultaneous Nin Violent Slash 一斉・忍烈斬) - All five Ninningers attack at once.

Kasumi mentions their grandfather communicating with aliens 30 times. This is a reference to something Takaharu mentioned in episode 2, that was dismissed by Yakumo at the time.
Takaharu gets fired up when told they're going to watch the Youkai. He mentally confuses it with a police stakeout. He even tells Nagi to buy anpan, since they commonly eat them during cop shows.
Yakumo's childhood dream was to be a soccer player. This makes magic and soccer things he has in common with MagiRed.
Kasumi transforms into a post office box as a disguise. Pink rangers have a trope of being masters of disguises.
- This was also a disguise sometimes used by MagiPink. But unlike Houka, whose postbox disguise was always pink, Kasumi actually gets the colour right!
When possessed, Shinobimaru does a dance known as The Robot.
Takaharu mentions Space Ninja, probably referring to Hurricaneger.
Grandfather admits that the Otomo Nin are based on alien technology. All the Otomo Nin are based off of UFOmaru, which is a flat disc-shape, like shurikens.
- Grandfather admits that the motif of the Otomo Nin are based on things he knows his grandchildren like. Which is why Takaharu's Otomo Nin is a ninja, Kasumi's is a train since she likes technology, etc.
Kasumi's books are about signal technology and RF engineering.
