- Title is based on the Japanese word for kataomoi which means "unrequited love" or literally "love that only goes one way".
- Tooru's business card spells Tooru in English with two o's. Usually they drop the second vowel when romanizing a name in English, so this is a rarity.
- Tooru's business card says he's a brand connection director for the marketing department of SCRTC Japan. This is a reference to Soutarou's previous work as GekiChopper on GekiRanger. SCRTC was the name of the organization that backed the GekiRangers.
