- Hasebe Hitomi who plays Hikari's mother has also been Koishikawa Mizuki on Ultraman Max.
- While sleeping, Akira yells out "Yoshio" which apparently is a reference to a skit from KinDon!. In it, the good kid is named Yoshio, the bad kid Waruo, and normal kid Futsuo.
- Kagura's nightmare is especially disturbing because Japanese believe the first dream of the year, also known as hatsuyume, will foretell the dreamer's luck.
- Kagura and Hikari are being held captive in Mori-iwadake (森岩岳)
- Kagura's parents own a restaurant called Merope. In Greek myth, Merope was one of the 7 Pleiades who were turned into constellations. The Japanese name for Pleiades is Subaru, so the restaurant is aptly named considering the town's name.
