- Title is based on the Japanese word for kataomoi which means "unrequited love" or literally "love that only goes one way".
- Tooru's business card spells Tooru in English with two o's. Usually they drop the second vowel when romanizing a name in English, so this is a rarity.
- Tooru's business card says he's a brand connection director for the marketing department of SCRTC Japan. This is a reference to Sotaro's previous work as GekiChopper on GekiRanger. SCRTC was the name of the organization that backed the GekiRangers.
- According to Tooru's photo ID, he was born on February 29th, Leap Day. The birth year was partially obscured by Mio's thumb, but it ended in "8" (most likely 1988, a leap year that would put the character in his 20s).
- Nitta Kenta has been a suit actor for various monsters in Kamen Rider and Sentai.
- The station name changes from Kitagojou to Daishitsuren (Heartbreak).
- The episode starts by introducing the Toqger Smart Ball game. Apparently used to explain what the Toqgers do for fun while riding the train.
