Sano fights in the Rider Battle because he wants to live a wealthy life instead of living in a poor life.
- To his surprise, he immediately inherits his father's company when he was called by his father's employees to a private meeting.
- Sano sees this as a chance to quit the Rider Battle. Unfortunately, Kanzaki Shirou says leaving the Rider Battle means Sano is breaking the contract with his Mirror Monsters at his own risk. Sano reluctantly continues to fight in the Rider Battle for his own survival.
Toujou betrays Sano in the same way he did with Kagawa and Nakamura.
- Sano's Card Deck is later destroyed by Ouja's Final Vent, he is unable to leave the Mirror World. Then, he dissolves and disappears.
