- The episode formatting is a bit different. It goes straight into the original opening (which hasn't been seen in a while) then into the episode. The usual sponsor break after the opening isn't shown until the halfway point.
- When Mitsuzane is pretending to be Takatora as Zangetsu Shin, the grunts that are made sound like Takatora.
- Takatora dies by falling off a cliff, which is a common drama trope for removing character before they make a comeback later on in the story.
