A "try" is a rugby term. It's similar to making a touchdown.

The rugby theme is reminiscent of GoRanger Hurricane.
SCRTC reference to GekiRanger.
The manga Mabushiina is reading, Good Three, is based on the LupinRangers. The author is Ichinose Shiho, a recurring character on Kaitou Sentai LupinRanger VS Keisatsu Sentai PatRanger and friend of LupinYellow.
- This means Kiramager is in continuity with both Lupin VS Pat and GekiRanger at the very least.
Sena saying "Case complete" is similar to DekaRangers. Kiramager's main writer, Arakawa Naruhisa, was also the main writer of that series.
Episode title "Proof of a Leader" (Leader no Shoumei リーダーの証明) is based either on "Proof of Wildness" (Yasei no Shoumei 野生の証明) or "Proof of Humanity" (Ningen no Shoumei 人間の証明). [1]
