Trivia

  • The title is a reference to The Empire Strikes Back. Geth Star is a play on "Death Star".
  • In Greek mythology, Kerberos is the three-headed guard dog to Hades. The name is usually Latinized to Cerberus, but the Japanese tend to pronounce words closer to their original pronunciation.
  • The three planets are named Planet Husky, Planet Bull, and Planet Dober. These are references to dog breeds (husky, bulldog, and doberman), but more specifically, these are the names of the vehicles that the DekaRangers drive (Machine Husky, Machine Bull, Machine Doberman).
    • When Kerberos enters its robot form, the three heads are based on the breeds Husky (head), Doberman (right shoulder), and Bulldog (left shoulder).
  • Like Shou Lonpou, Hoi Korou's name is based on a Chinese dish. In this case, it's a reference to huíguōròu which is a pork dish.
  • The etymology behind Kaaru Indabee's name is a mystery. Designer K-suke says his head is designed to be based on the sky fish UMA, while the body is based on a rider's. Maybe his name is Kaaru because it's similar to Garou's name spelling in Japanese (since Garou gets turned into a bike).
  • Oomo Indabee is probably named after the Japanese word for heavy (omoi).
  • Oomo Indabee is voiced by comedian and former pro wrestler Razor Ramon HG. "Sei!" and "Foooo!" are his commonly used catchphrases.
  • Kaaru Indabee is voiced by comedian and pro wrestler Razor Ramon RG. He also uses his common catchphrases.
  • For the Blu-ray retail, the KyuuRanger movie is the first Sentai movie being released only the Collector's Pack and yet without the standard version. The DVD retail however, remains the release of both the standard version and the Collector's Pack.
