Trivia
- Kyuulin Temple is a reference to Shaolin Temple. The 9 Chambers of Kyuulin Temple is probably a reference to the martial arts movie The 36th Chamber of Shaolin.
- All the chambers have the title format "something something chamber" except Chamber 3, Kitchen. That's because Kitchen has bou/chamber in its kanji already, so it's
a bit of wordplay.
- When Shou distributes the KyuuTama, each of the KyuuRangers uses a different martial arts technique. They use the crane fist, snake fist, cat fist, and dog fist, but the latter two aren't common. The cat fist is usually the tiger fist.
- Planet Game in the Perseus System is actually Game without the dash (ゲム), which would make it more Gem, but the planet is clearly game's based. It has a crosspad and a joystick in the planet.
- The Crux System was previously translated as the Southern Cross, which is one of that constellation's alternative names. However, it was changed to Crux to avoid confusion with Planet Southern Cross. In this episode, the barrier surrounding the system is called the Southern Cross Shield in English on a screen.
- Shou says "You are already dead" a line from the anime Fist of the North Star.
