Important things that happened

While still recuperating, Kiriya wakes up from a bad dream of losing a friend of his.
Kiriya notices an elderly patient (Okada Yoshio) is infected with the Bugster Virus. He takes Yoshio to CR for a checkup. Afterwards, Kiriya finds a binder that Director Kagami accidentally dropped.
A twin-headed dragon-like Bugster Union emerges from Yoshio's body. After Ex-Aid and Brave defeated it, the Bugster Union splits into 2 Colabos Bugsters.
To save Yoshio from succumbing to the Bugster Virus, Kiriya convinces Emu to trust him again. Ex-Aid and Lazer destroy one of the Colabos Bugsters, clearing the game of Giri Giri Chambara.
Using the Giri Giri Chambara Gashat, Lazer elevates to a humanoid Level 3 form.
To everyone shock, Kiriya announces the identity of Kamen Rider Genm is Dan Kuroto.
Despite Lazer swiftly defeating Genm, Parado helps Kuroto escape before Kiriya can expose Kuroto as the identity of Genm.
- Because Parado stood in Genm's place instead of Kuroto, Emu loses his trust in Kiriya.

Just like the title of this episode, Kiriya has his reason for lying instead of telling the truth.
- The reason why Kiriya tells lies is to protect people from getting hurt by the truth, specifically when the truth is painful to hear.
Kiriya regrets telling his friend, Jungo, that he was contracted with the Bugster Virus on the event of Zero Day. Because Kiriya told Jungo the truth, Jungo became traumatized and eventually died.
