Trivia

• Both the Ant Megiddo and Grasshopper Megiddo are referring to Aesop's fable "The Ant and the Grasshopper" about a grasshopper that begs ants for food when winter comes.
• The Shimii name is probably a wordplay on shimi (染み) which is Japanese for "smudge".
• Hanzaki Giant Salamander is a reference to a youkai. The yokai, Hanzaki, (which means "to be torn in half") is named such due to the belief that it can regenerate even from such a state.
• The Japanese translation for The Ugly Duckling is more literally "the duck is hard to look at", which is taken literally here since one of the duck kaijin is invisible.
• The Hadashi No Ousama Alter Book literally means "the naked king", a reference to the story "The Emperor's New Clothes".
• Charybdis is a monster from Greek myth. It's a sea monster that's said to be based on a whirlpool.
