- The Shijima siblings' mother was named Shijima Sumiko (詩島澄子). Her gravestone at the foot of a tree says she lived from 1960-2000.
- Roidmudes 017 and 018 call each other brothers since they're copied off crime lords with a similar relationship. In a way, it parallels the sibling relationship between Kiriko and Gou.
- Mach was being worked on by Professor Harley Hendrickson, an obvious reference to Harley bikes.
