== Plot == | |||
Four thousand years ago in ancient China, Master Brusa Ee created JyuKen, a martial art with several substyles, each based on a different animal. JyuKen split into 2 substyles: Geki JyuKen Beast Arts, wielding the power of Geki, which is fueled by justice and righteousness, and the RinJyuDen Akugata, wielding the evil power of Rinki, which is fueled by fear and despair.
In the present day, Rio takes over RinJyuDen, reviving the old practitioners to serve him. One of the Kensei, Master Shafu, trains two youths, Retsu and Ran, in the ways of Geki JyuKen Beast Arts to become the JyuKen Sentai GekiRanger.
While transporting an important relic, Masaki Miki, a director of SCRTC which houses the base of operations of the Geki JyuKen, is attacked by the RinJyuDen, and encounters Jan, a boy living in the forest and raised by animals. After witnessing him let loose a mysterious power against the RinJyuDen, she brings him back to the headquarters of the Geki JyuKen, where Master Shafu decides to make him into GekiRed to aid in the battle against the RinJyuDen.

==Trivia== | |||
*The first part of "Ore-ryuu!! GekiViolet" was played when the Domezord Gamma appeared in [[Go-Busters]] 38. Both GekiViolet and the Domezord Gamma fight using Muay Thai style.
*There is a Japanese word that's formed from Geki and Rin. Gekirin (逆鱗) means "imperial wrath" and comes from the kanji "upside-down" and "scale".
**In myths, this upside down scale is on a dragon's face, and touching it would become infuriated. This Japanese idiom has come to mean:
***to infuriate your superior; to incur the anger of one's boss; to bring (a superior's) wrath down upon (one)
***to provoke the Emperor's displeasure
*Brusa Ee's name is derived from [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Lee Bruce Lee].
*Shafu's name is most likely derived from the Chinese word for "master", 师傅 (shīfù).
*The other Kensei are named after famous martial artists:
::Elehan Kinpo -> [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sammo_Hung Hung Kam-bo (Sammo Hung)]
::Bat Li -> [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jet_Li Jet Li]
::Sharkie Chan -> [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackie_Chan Jackie Chan]
::Gorie Yen -> [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donnie_Yen Donnie Yen]
::Michelle Peng -> [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelle_Yeoh Michelle Yeoh Choo-Kheng]
::Pyon Piao -> [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuen_Biao Yuen Biao]
*The voice actors for Elehan Kinpo, Bat Li and Sharkie Chan are also the official dub-over artists for the respective martial artists they are named after.
*A part of the soundtrack [https://youtu.be/d75G1WFk8gA?t=1m41s GekiTouja Burning Up!!] has traces of similarity to the theme of [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RabtH22aozo Shaolin Soccer].
*Jan has an unusual way of speaking in onomatopoeia terms, this is referred to as [[Jan-go]].

獣拳戦隊ゲキレンジャー JyuKen Sentai GekiRanger
JyuKen = Beast Fist
Geki is a special term in the series, but normally it means "violent" or "passionate".
Catchphrase:
- (高みを目指して、学び、変わる!)
Plot
