Treasure Chest Gurumaa's number is 2011, the year the Gokaigers were active. His weapon and shield are a reference to the spear that can pierce anything and the shield that can block anything being the origin of the word for "contradiction" in Japanese.
The episode title is a pun on Gokai/Hearty for the Gokaiger cameo. The episode features a Boonboomger Ranger Key and ByunDi combining with GokaiGalleon to promote the new Ranger Keys and Sentai robo series with swappable limbs.
The staff wanted to provide a new coat, but Yamada chose to wear Joe's original jacket from filming Gokaiger.
When Joe is fighting as Boom Blue, he borrows the other members swords, since he normally fights with dual blades as GokaiBlue. It's also a reference to how the Gokaigers would swap weapons as part of their team dynamic.
When Boom Red says he feels like he knew Joe from somewhere, it's referencing the actors both being a part of the same agency. This caused Iuchi (Taiya) to feel nervous, since Yamada is considered a famous actor at this point.
Suzuki Miu (Mira) really is skilled at calligraphy and has a license to teach it.
