- The title is Ryuuko which are the kanji for "dragon" and "tiger", representing Koh and Towa respectively. Ryuuko means "two mighty rivals".
- The father's main concern is not playing with his child enough. This is foreshadowed in the hospital with him telling his son that they'll play when his son becomes better. Also, by the bed is a Frisbee and other toys that show the Father's intention.
