Trivia

This episode has no opening sequence, like the first two episodes of the series.
Rita's line about the law being the king's piercing spear and the people's protective shield is the idiom that explains the Japanese word for "contradiction/mujun". The kanji used for the word are spear (矛) and shield (盾), referring to the impossibility of a spear that could pierce anything, and a shield that could block anything coexisting.
