Biography

July 2004 joined the D-Boys.
August 2010 had to miss a D-Boys stage event because of health issues. In September it was announced he would be taking a break from acting because of health issues.
November 8, 2011 Withdrew from D Boys and D☆DATE so that he could focus on medical treatment.
September 2012 he left Watanabe Pro, thus quitting the entertainment industry. The report states that he had recovered from his illness, but had decided not to return to acting. [1]
He announced in August 2014 that he wanted to return to acting. [2]
Has a male small chihuahua named Zero, after Zeronos.
Has a female long-hair chihuahua named Spica, after Twin Spica.
Likes shoujo manga. Particularly G.M.C.

His name is different from the voice actor of the same name by one kanji. The Yu for the actor (this one) uses the kanji Yu 優 which means "actor".
The kanji for the voice actor uses Yu 悠 which means "long time". The voice actor is older than the actor.
