Abarengecko is a fusion of Abaranger + Lotus (renge) + Geckos
Emiri is credited under her married name Sanjou, which has been the case since their cameo in Gokaiger.
Taharahara is a joke on the excess hara's/harassment in the movie.
Commentator Watarigome Hiroshi is played by Watari Hiroshi who was Space Sheriff Sharivan and other roles. His name is a play on the kanji in his name. These kanji (渡洋) mean "transoceanic" while the character kanji (渡米) means "to go to America".
When Iota is being bullied as a child, the boys are quoting from the Abaranger theme song.
Arakawa Naruhisa returns to write this movie. He was the main writer of the Abaranger series which he wrote 26 of the 50 episodes.
This is Kimura Hisashi's first toku movie, but he's a veteran director for Trick, Keibuho Yabe Kenzou, Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo. In the Yabe Kenzou series, he often throws in Kamen Rider Easter eggs and cameos, since he's a fan.
TV-Asakara is a parody of TV Asahi, the channel that Sentai and Kamen Rider air on.

Actor Trivia

Itou Aiko came out of retirement to appear in this movie, which is why she doesn't appear till later.
Child actress Banno Maya (now Suzuno Maya) also came out of retirement to appear in this movie. Her new Twitter and Instagram are all posts promoting the movie at the time of this writing.
Abarengecko is played by super voice actor Seki Tomokazu.
