Five stars Sentai DaiRanger 五星戦隊ダイレンジャー
The Dairen in DaiRanger and Dairen-Ou are based on the Chinese city Dalian 大连.
Plot
Eight thousand years ago, there were three tribes, the Dai, Shura and the Gouma, which lived peacefully together in the flourishing Daos civilization. The Gouma, however, eventually decided to take over the empire, and then the entire world. This resulted in a five-thousand-year war with the Dai, which ended in both tribes eradicating each other. However, by an unknown cause, the Gouma were revived in the present day to accomplish their eight-thousand-year aim, to take over the world. Doushi Kaku (Master Kaku), a mysterious man with immense power, recruited five youths with Ki powers to become the DaiRangers, and with the help of the the five reawakened Mythical Ki Beasts which also aided the Dai tribe during the war, battled against the Gouma to protect humanity.

Trivia
- Was largely skipped over for adapting into Power Rangers. Some monsters, the mecha, the cannon, and Kibaranger's suit and weapon were used.
- Was rumored to have been named Chuuka Sentai Chinaman, but it turns out this was a false Internet rumor. It actually was supposed to be Chuuka Sentai Daikenger to go along with its kenpou theme. But they were worried that a kenger would be confusing, it was changed to DaiRanger. (As stated on Super Hero Taihen.)
- The anime series Girls und Panzer apparently did a parody of the poses from DaiRanger.
Actor Trivia
- Naka Koji passed away on December 19, 2015 .
- Noumi Tatsuya passed away on May 18, 2017 .
- Imagawa Sugisaku played Kameo up till Ep 29, but became sick in the middle of filming and had to be replaced. Naruse Tomihisa was chosen as the replacement because they had similar body types.[1]
