KunimaSmaphoGany

クニマスマホガニー Kunimasu + SmaPho + Mahogany

Trinoid #23, based on the enemies from Abarangers.

Made of an animal, a plant, an inanimate object.
- Kunimasu 国鱒 (a type of salmon)
- Smart Phone (SmaPho) スマホ（スマートフォン）
- Mahogany マホガニー（A type of tree）

Sakana-kun discovered that the kunimasu weren't extinct. He's a big tokusatsu fan and even appeared on Goseiger.

Trivia: The original Trinoid #23 was Arohaispikasukanku アロハイビスカスカンク.

Tsuu creates a Trinoid because Malshiina just says that she's fighting a dinosaur Sentai, so Tsuu assumes it's Abarangers, which was also based on dinosaurs.

The monster design is based on the previous episode's monster, SmaPhomonger.

George Spielburton (ジョージ・スピルバートン). An amalgamation of famous American directors: George Lucas, Steven Spielburg, and Tim Burton.
- ET Reference. Also, Spielburg was also famous for taking the novel Jurassic Park and making it a movie.
  - Jurassic Park (Jyuurashikku Paaku ジュラシック・パーク) and ZyuRanger (Jyuuranjaa ジュウレンジャー). Both are about dinosaurs. The novel came out in 1990 and the movie in 1993. ZyuRanger came out in 1992.
- Spielburton is played by Sakamoto Koichi who was the director for Power Rangers.
- George Spielburton is a fan of Diane Martin, who was Miss America in Battle Fever. They really went out of their way to gather all the American-related Sentai stuff to throw in this episode.
Akina refers to Tsuu as Ushirozawa-sensei.
The AkibaRangers' embarrassing photos.
- The pictures are from the cosplay scene in episode 4 of season 1, but here they're pictures of them getting into the costumes.
- Apparently this is a scene like from episode 34 of CarRangers.
When Luna is arm in arm with TyrannoRanger and DragonRanger she says the idiom "A flower in both hands." This is also rumored to be Kitaoka Shuuichi's favorite phrase as well.
Malshiina explains the joke with her name. Maru C means "C in a circle" or ©, the copyright symbol. So she says Maru C Nai which means "No copyright symbol".

Sentai References

Kuwae Sakina plays Maihama. She was previously a Sentai regular on GekiRangers as Natsume.
Queen's dance of avarice. Queen Hedron from Sun Vulcan did this dance in episode 15. Her actress, Soga Machiko also played Witch Bandora in ZyuRangers.
Spielburton is seen playing with S.H.Figuarts' TyrannoRanger and DragonRanger. The commercials for these also play during AkibaRangers.
Powerful Rangers is an obvious spoof of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
- The reality change made it so that Japan based Sentai on Powerful Rangers, starting with GaoRangers. Perhaps this is because Gokaiger's ending song, Super Sentai Hero Getter's, third part begins with GaoRanger.
The Trinoids were designed by AkibaRanger's character designer, Satou Keiichi さとうけいいち. So in a sense, this is self-promotion.
Lines used to persuade TyrannoRanger and DragonRanger.
"Eternal warriors", "warriors of passion", and "always by the kids' side" are reference to their theme song. It's also a reference to all the kids that show up in ZyuRanger episodes.
The ZyuSouKen toy accurately playing the same sound as the show. Nowadays, it's only natural to expect a toy to replicate the same sound as in the show, but in the past, that was not necessarily the case. So the toy ZyuSouKen was regarded as a high class item for reproducing the sound accurately.
- However, this copy has the DragonRanger emblem off by 90 degrees from the one in the show.
- Normally the ZyuSouKen is used to control Dragon Caesar, but this time it's used to gain control over the ZyuRangers.

ZyuRan Buckler

ジュウレンバックラー

"You'll be surprised when you hear! ZyuRan Buckler!"

The buckler is a direct reference to the ZyuRanger's transformation device.
The first part of the line is lifted directly from this year's Sentai, Kyouryuuger, another dinosaur sentai.
