Minami Koutarou and Akizuki Nobuhiko are two young men who were born on the day of a solar eclipse 19 years ago. Because of this circumstance, they are selected by a mysterious entity known as the Creation King to rule the Dark Society Gorgom as its Century Kings until they are destined to battle each other, where the victor will emerge as the Creation King's successor. Under the Creation King's orders, Gorgom captures and experiments on Koutarou and Nobuhiko, modifying them into cybernetic warriors created to lead Gorgom. Miraculously, Koutarou was able to escape from Gorgom's brainwashing and with his modified body, he transforms into Kamen Rider Black and thwarts Gorgom's experimentations, but was unable to rescue Nobuhiko in time. With his newfound powers as a Kamen Rider, Koutarou defends the world from the Gorgom and vows to bring back Nobuhiko from Gorgom's captive.
