Trivia
- In Japanese, misa means "mass", like a ceremony or rite. It's also a fitting name since there was a series of Japanese schoolgirl witchcraft movies named "Misa the Dark Angel".
History
- When Cait Sidhe was being lazy, Misa was observing him to make sure he was doing his job. During the observation, she noticed that Koyomi was able to see through Cait Sidhe's human form and identity him as a Phantom. She confronted Koyomi to know how she was able to detect Phantoms and binds her with her snakes. She was able to figure out that she was a shell of a human that needs magic to run and drains her magic.
- She encounters Haruto for the first time when she was trying to figure out Matsuki's support mechanism and manages to defeat him with ease but leaves him alive.
- Sora tells Medusa about how Phoenix was going against Wiseman's agenda which made her ask Wiseman what to do with Phoenix. She was ordered to stop him even meant taking his life since she was the only one who could pull it off. Medusa finds Phoenix which they fight and ends with Medusa turning Phoenix into stone. At this point Phoenix breaks the stone enchantment and left Medusa in shock that he could break her stone prison. She runs away afterwards. After Phoenix was defeated by Wizard, she accepted Sora's offer as her new helper.
- Her Phantom form has the ability to use her snakes to bind opponents and drain any magic from them. She can fight with a staff coil with snakes call the Arrogant. It can create a mass of giant rock to fling at her opponent. She can turn people into stone including Phantoms. It was believed that she could have stop Phoenix with her pertification power but he has become too powerful for it.
- It is revealed in episode 26 that her full name is Inamori Misa 稲森美紗 and that she has a twin sister named Mayu. From the kanji, we learn that Misa means "beautiful gossamer", which makes sense since that could be used to describe the colorful shawl that she tends to wear.
Inamori Misa
稲森美紗
- Continuity Error: Birth date is impossible. Computer says she's 16 (at the time of disappearance), but with a birthdate on 1992, that would make her 21 years old.
- Birthdate - June 11, 1992* (Heisei Year 4)
- Father - Shinji 真治 (45 years old)
- Mother - Sayuri 紗由里 (40 years old)
- Younger sister - Inamori Mayu
Misa is a positive, go-getter of a girl. She's always been supportive of her shyer little sister Mayu.
Misa is the first born and wears her hair in a ponytail, Mayu is the second born and wears them in twin tails. Both girls take parts of their parents' names in their own name.
The kanji in Misa's name means "beautiful gossamer".
Sadly, Misa died on the day of the solar eclipse. She is seen behind Haruto in the flashback in episode 2 (about 14 minutes in). Her back is always turned towards the camera in this scene.
Also, either her or Mayu appear in the opening for about a third of a second (from the very beginning).
