Scientific name is Uroleucon nigrotuberculatum. In Japanaese Aburamushi in particular means "parasite" or "aphid". Shibuya is a trendy city in Tokyo known for its many shops.

• When Akagi enters work, he has red tape on his uniform to look like the pattern for the DekaRanger's uniforms and SPD on his back. He quotes the DekaRanger opening narrative and addresses his superior as Umeko, which is also DekaPink's name. Akagi works for Sasaki Pompoko Delivery which shares the same acronym as Special Police DekaRanger. In his AkibaRanger rollcall, Akagi sneaks in a recommendation for Banban from DekaRangers.
• The Chogokin Maskman's GreatFive Robo appears in a toy shop. The image song for Great Five ("Aura no Kagayake! Great Five") also plays when Akagi notices said toy in the shop.
• When Akagi runs away from the shop, he imitates a villain from Maskman named Oyobu's special move; "Oyobu's Lethal Dash".
• Akagi tries to stop a thief while on bike. When asked to join the AkibaRangers, he remarks that this is similar to Ranru's origin story in Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger.
• Moegi remarks that she wants to be a strong yellow like Chisato-chan from MegaRanger.
• At the Secret Base Cafe, Mita Kozukozu cosplays as Natsuki from Boukengers while the other is dressed as Houka from MagiRangers.
• References the Marudeyouna worlds from MagiRanger. In the maid cafe there's two girls cosplaying as Nai and Mare.
