- The episode title, Shugoddom's Moving Castle (シュゴッダムの動く城), is a reference to the 2004 animated film Howl's Moving Castle by Miyazaki Hayao.
- This is Kofuki's first appearance in the TV series, but he previously appeared in the Racles's secret specials.
- Daigougu and King Caucasus Kabuto are both based on beetles. Daigougu is a horned dung beetle with the other is based on the caucasus beetle.
