• Named after Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The Japanese title is Harii Pottaa to Kenja no Ishi ハリー・ポッターと賢者の石. Harii+Kenja = Harikenja/Hurricaneger. Also mentioned on the Net Movie Super Hero Taihen.
• Producer Tsukada Hideaki kept an illustrated diary while working on Hurricaneger. http://tvarc.toei.co.jp/tv/hariken/diary/index.html This is mentioned years later in AkibaRanger Episode 08.
