Zoids Genesis (ゾイドジェネシス) is the fifth and final installment of the Zoids anime series. It is aired between 10th April 2005 to 26th March 2006, every Sunday from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM on TV-Tokyo. (50 episodes)
Plot
Several thousand years ago advanced civilizations flourished on Planet Zi. They created Zoids with their advanced technology and used them were used for labor work and combat. However, a polar shift on the planet resulted in cataclysmic disasters that destroyed all cities and civilizations. This event is known as "The God's Fury".
Several thousand years later Generators were scattered around the planet. These Generators not only stabilized the polar shift and agriculture, they also produce the Zoids' fuel - Reggel. With the improved planetary conditions, new civilizations began to sprout again. The new generations built villages and cities around the Generators, and excavated Zoids from the earth and sea.
At present, the Digald Bukoku (Bukoku = country ruled by military dictatorship) possessed a special type of Zoids called the BioZoids. These Zoids are immune to almost all weapons, they can only be destroyed using weapons made of a special Leeo metal (or Metal Zi as Digald labeled it). With these invincible Zoids, Digald started an aggressive conquest across the lands. One of Digald's army platoon reached Miroodo Village where the series protagonist, Ryuuji Familon, lived. Ryuuji managed to drive the Diagald forces away with the help of two travelers - Ra Kan and Re Mii. The village Generator, however, was damaged in the battle.
In order to search for a mechanic to repair the Generator, Ryuuji left Miroodo Village for the first time and traveled alongside Ra Kan and Re Mii. During his journey, he slowly learned about Diagald and the chaos it caused in the world.

Zoids List
Planet Zi Zoids
Main article: List of Planet Zi Zoids
Zoids are self aware metal lifeforms created by the ancient civilizations. All the Zoids were buried underground or sank into the sea due to the apocalyptic event several thousands years ago. The current civilization discover the Zoids and excavate them from the earth and sea. Zoids can only be activated and piloted by compatible humans. In other words, the Zoids choose their own pilots. Some smaller Zoids (such as Baratz) are easier to find compatible pilots than others.
Planet Zi Zoids use an animal motif.

They are also vulnerable to extremely high temperature. A few BioZoids piloted by higher-ranking officers may be special equipped so that they can block Metal Zi weapons.
