Gokaigers and the Zangyack know the prediction to find the floating island called Tenkuu Island.
Gokaigers and the Zangyack are battling around the island but were interfered by the Power Animal, GaoLion.
When Captain Marvelous and the others attempted to obtain the Grand Powers from GaoLion, a man named Shishi Kakeru who noticed them not to obtain the power.
Being declined, Marvelous and the others left but Ahim can't move due to her leg injuries during an aerial battle with Bowser so they left her with Doc.
At Gigant Horse, Damarasu proceeds with the operation but Waruzu Giru shows up so he sends Barizorg to change of plans.
Ahim was treated at Shishi Animal Hospital and Doc tells Kakeru about GaoLion, whom he choses.
Marvelous, Joe and Luka continue to fight against Bowser as Doc and Ahim tell the truth about.
With five of them, they transformed into GaoRangers as Kakeru watches them.
After Bowser was defeated by Gao Gokai-Ou, Kakeru leaves GaoLion to Gokaigers.

The name of the episode is Lion, Run! (獅子、走る Shishi, Kakeru). Shishi Kakeru is also the name of GaoRed. The episode title is also a reference to first episode of Hyakujyu Sentai GaoRanger, Lion, Roar! (獅子、吼える!!).
In Gaoranger, Kakeru (GaoRed) owns a Golden Retriever called "Choco". In this episode the puppy in the clinic is a golden retriever, and there are posters of golden retrievers on the wall.

The name of the Action Commander, Bowser is very similar to the King Koopa, Bowser of Super Mario franchise.
