The live action TV remake of Nagi Go's manga/anime character. There was also a live action movie, but that was separate from this.

Background
This was Hara Mikie's first time in a lead role. A lof of the staff were former Garo members. This work was to commemorate Nagi Go's 40th anniversary as a creative artist.
Story
Second year high schooler Kisaragi Honey along with her amateur detective friend Hayami Seiji fight the secret organization Panther Claw. Along with them are the national bum association and Saotome Miki as well as Kenmochi Yuki.

The Honey System
ハニーシステム（空中元素固定装置） The device that converts air into physical objects. In other words, it creates things out of nothing virtually. This is how the Honey Change creates different costumes for Cutie Honey.

- 2012 seems to be the years for Cutie Honey actors. Hara Mikie will be starring in the Kamen Rider Fourze summer movie, while Misaki Ayame will be a new reoccurring character on Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters.
