Sanjou Gattai TORANSUFOUMAA Go! 参乗合体 トランスフォーマーGo!
A Japanese toy series as well as an OVA. A Transformer's 30th anniversary project. It's a spinoff of America's Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters which is the third season in Prime.

Termology
Sanjou is normally a showy way of announcing oneself, like in period dramas. In this show, the jou is replaced with the kanji for "ride" to fit with the vehicle theme. Also, san homophones with the Japanese word for "three", since three robots are combining in this.

Trivia
- In the flashback to the past, the flag with the three hollyhock leaves is the crest of the Tokugawa clan. They ruled Japan until the Bakufu in the last 1800s.
- The other army had the emblem of Ishida Mitsunari.
- Many elements from this anime are taken from Japanese period plays. Terms like sanjou, kenzan, iza, are all stuff you'd hear in shows about the old timey times.
