• The episode title is a reference to the road to the Emerald City in the story The Wizard of Oz. In the story, Dorothy follows the road, believing that it will lead her to the Wizard who will grant her wish to go home. However, the Wizard of Oz is revealed to be a fraud.
  • Tachibana's kill command for Iyu is YBR 19. It's a reference to the episode title, Yellow Brick Road.
• Continuity error? Fudamori says Mizusawa has one Heavy Scattershot, but she has two. One that she fired at Nanaha and one that she shows Haruka later on.
