• Zango's full title is Luminous Slash Knight Zango (光斬騎士ザンゴ)
  • The kanji for Zango's name is 斬冴, which means "skillful slash". With "go" 冴 containing the "fang" 牙 radical that's used in Garo's ga.
• The subtitle for this episode is Hirameki. While this also means "flash", it could also refer to "a flash of insight", like when Ryuuga figures out the maze's puzzle.
