Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger (Team)

Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger (爆竜戦隊アバレンジャー) are the 27th Sentai team in the Super Sentai series.

The Bakuryuu in their name translates to "Explosive Dinosaur" thus, the team is based on various dinosaurs.

The Aba in Abaranger refers to the Japanese word Abare, meaning "rampage".

Took in Mai after her parents (his older brother and wife) died in a traffic accident.

Unlike the other Abarangers, they combine the "re" between "abare" and "red". Name comes from Hakuaki 白亜紀, the Japanese word for Cretaceous period.

Name is based off of Juraki ジュラ紀 the Jurassic period. (Since Itsuki can be pronounced Ju + the Ra from Ranru = Jura)
