Trivia

• Translate Malshiina's business card and address
• Malshiina communicates to Tsuu Shogun with modified MMZ's.
• HVD stands for Holographic Versatile Disc which has a 6 TB capacity and may be the future standard for Quad HD and Ultra HD. Needless to say, it would surpass the Blu-ray format in quality if actualized.
• When they look up Akiba's wiki page, the sit is actually Mikiqedia, which is just Wikipedia with the W flipped over and p mirrored into a q.
• The words flying when HVD is brought to life are done in Niconico comment format. Some comments are "It's over", "Malshiina-sama kitaa", "LOL explanation?", "AkibaRangers kita!", "Sutema". [1]

Sentai References

• Malshiina says she was revived from an iceberg, a reference to Queen Hedrian's revival from Denjiman to Sun Vulcan.
• KibaRanger summons Mojo and Yamagata to sing Sentai songs, GaoRanger and Battle Fever J's opening.
• Two signatures are shown on Secret Base's wall. One is from Director Watanabe Katsuya dated September 12, 2002 (2002-09-12). The other is from Director Takemoto Noboru and is dated January 6, 2013 (2013-01-06). Both are written to Secret Base.
  • Incidentally, September 12, 2002 would place it during the time when Watanabe Katsuya was working on Hurricaneger. The date fits between episodes 29 and 30, which he directed.
  • The other date was Go-Busters Mission 45's air date. Takemoto didn't direct this episode, but it was written by Shimoyama Kento, and it looks like they did a lot of collaborations throughout Go-Busters. A tenuous connection?
• Tsuu's monster creation is reminiscent of Puripurikan's from ZyuRanger. Tsuu creates a little monster mold, and then flips a big switch. Then the monster is teleported like in Go-Busters, but not really according to Tsuu Shogun.
• In the alternate universe, AkibaRangers was mainly written by Arakawa Naruhisa, the main writer for AkibaRangers. However, for DaiRangers he only wrote about 10-12 episodes.
• The wiki article describes Akiba as a dismal failure of a series, so much so, that Inoue Toshiki was brought in to fix it. This is a reference to the shakeup that occurred with Kamen Rider Hibiki.
• It also mentions Gosei Sentai AkibaRangers being cancelled after 13 episodes, which is the true length of the original AkbiaRangers series, but would have been a slap in the face if they were an original 50 something episode series.
• Finally, after the whole article there's a "Needs citation" link, meaning that none of the information that they read can be verified.
• The wiki link below says that Nobuo's explanation for the reenactment being "This is what an otaku is" is a reference to Captain Marvelous justifications for his actions "This is what a pirate is".

DaiRanger References

• The AkibaRangers reenact the DaiRanger opening from memory. They hum out the RyuuRanger part, since they want ChinaRed to remember it.
• Wada Keiichi (RyuuRanger) does the voice for RyuuRanger when he returns to normal. He doesn't show up in the filming, but he appears as a still image as Akagi's role in Gosei Sentai AkibaRanger. They call him Wonder Wada. A combination of his real life nickname, Wonder, and the real Akagi's actor, Wada Masato. Double Wadas!
  • Up to that point, ChinaRed was voiced by seiyuu Seki Tomokazu.
• The name of the reenactment script has the daaa in it, which was common for a lot of DaiRangers' titles.
• The monster of the week calls himself a Gouma kaijin, the DaiRangers' enemies. The Gouma were known for their one-eye motif.
• Reenactment from DaiRanger 27 where RyuuRanger confronts his rival, Matoba Jin.
• AkibaYellow reenacts Rin's idol episode, DaiRanger 33.
• RyuuRanger quotes a line from the DaiRanger opening song before giving AkibaRed the Outrageous Power.
• Outrageous Power DaiRan Bomber ダイレンボンバー, a reference to KiRyoku Bomber.
• When asking the otaku about DaiRanger, they mention DaiRenOu, Wong Tiger, KiRyoku Bomber, and JuuKouKiDen.
