Kani (可児) is a pun on kani/crab. Granuto Rojou (ロジョー) might be a joke on him being a street (rojou 路上) musician.
Rojou's human form is Kishi Yosuke who played Stinger on KyuuRanger. Rojou is played by suit actor Imai Yasuhiko who also played SasoriOrange.
- The song Aishite/Love (愛して) that plays during the water play scene was also written by Kishi.
Shita and Jeebh's Granuto forms are based on the Norse wolves Sköll and Hati. Shita is based on Sköll that wishes to eat the sun. Jeebh is Hati who's a wolf that tries to eat the moon. [1]
Unlike the other Gochizo, CakeKing Gochizo doesn't die after one use.
