- Kani (可児) is a pun on kani/crab. Granuto Rojou (ロジョー) might be a joke on him being a street (rojou 路上) musician.
- Rojou's human form is Kishi Yosuke who played Stinger on KyuuRanger. Rojou is played by suit actor Imai Yasuhiko who also played SasoriOrange.
- The song Aishite/Love (愛して) that plays during the water play scene was also written by Kishi.
- Shita and Jeebh's Granuto forms are based on the Norse wolves Sköll and Hati. Shita is based on Sköll that wishes to eat the sun. Jeebh is Hati who's a wolf that tries to eat the moon. [1]
- Unlike the other Gochizo, CakeKing Gochizo doesn't die after one use.
