Important things that happened

Ozawa explains that the G3-X has an AI program that has a will of its own. Since Hikawa puts a lot of force into his movements, when he clashes with the AI it does damage to his body.
Houjou deploys in the V1 System without permission and succeeds in driving away an Unknown.
Ozawa considers finding someone else who can harmonize with the AI's will. She decides Tsugami Shouchi would be a good candidate.
She gives Hikawa another chance, but while doing some testing with the V1 System, Houjou accidentally points his gun at the G3-X, causing the AI to turn on. Hikawa in the G3-X destroys the V1 System, but stops when he hears a call saying there's an Unknown.
Hikawa deploys in the G3-X and fights the Unknown with Agito, using the GM-05 for the first time. After defeating the Unknown, Hikawa points the GM-05 at Agito and the episode ends.

The V1 System looks a lot like the heroes from the Space Sheriff series.
Shouichi shows his license in this episode. From it you can see his address. All the years are written in Heisei year terms. It says that it will expire on Shouichi's birthday 2003 (Heisei 15). There's also another date April 1, 1980 (Shouwa 55), probably the assumption for Shouichi's birthday? There's a date September 11, 2000 (Heisei 12) on it.
