Sentai References
- The episode title, Transforming Courage into Magic ~Maagi Magi Go Gokai~, follows the format of Mahou Sentai Magiranger episode titles which include a spell in them.
- The clothes of Kai are the same as in the final episode of Mahou Sentai Magiranger.
- Kai is helped by Flagel in order to be able to put the two Gokaiger through a series of tests. Flagel is the Heavenly Saint from which Kai as MagiRed draws his power. Throughout the episode, it appeared as it Kai was using magic, but it isn't until the end that it is revealed that Flagel was doing it. This is an important point because it emphasizes that the former Rangers have lost their powers, since Kai is the first former Ranger that the Gokaigers meet.
