- Konishi Hiroyuki was Captain Hyuuga in Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle, and was also in Ultraman Tiga: The Final Odyssey.
- The cops keep calling Toride "Boss", but he keeps telling them not to. This could be a reference to Ultra Galaxy, where Hyuuga is called "Boss" by members of the team.
- Second main series episode not written by main writer, Kobayashi Yasuko.
- The names of the places at this station are puns for the word "light". Kirari of Kiraridai Station means "flash of light". Kirameki Watchmakers is a pun on "twinkle". And the station after this one is Hoshikage/Starlight.
- Hikari ultimately catches Soujiki Shadow because shiny sushi in Japanese sounds just like the phrase "shiny things/hikarimono" which is what Soujiki Shadow was ordered to steal.
