Todoroki Gaia is a pretty good name for an animal tamer. Todoroku (轟く) means "to roar, thunder" and Gaia has a natural feel to it since it's the name of the personification of Earth in Greek myth.
The carrier that Ousai uses to deliver the ring boxes is White Rabbit Express, which is Don Momotarou's civilian day job from DonBrothers, a series written by head writer Akiko's father.
When Gaia talks about the music floating through the sky to control beasts, it's a reference to the GaoRanger's Jyuohken, which used heavenly tones to summon power animals.
At one point, Gaia uses an Ocarnia to play "Hibiki no Shirabe 響の調べ", an insert song sung by Tetomu from GaoRanger.
As GaoRed, Gaia uses a Kalimba to control GozyuWolf.

Todoroki Gaia is played by Nakamura Yuichi who played Sakurai Yuuto / Kamen Rider Zeronos on Den-O. Todoroki happened to be the name of one of the Riders on Hibiki, a show Nakamura was on early in his career. Gaia also uses an ocarnia to play "Hibiki no Shirabe 響の調べ" from GaoRanger.
